Basel - The Planning

As described last time, I became quite courageous in my little forays, but they were very small steps. More for fun, we came up with the idea of ​​daring more in Basel, far away from people who might happen to cross my path. Of course, this idea had its charm, but at the same time it struck me as a bit foolhardy. For weeks, the topic flared up again and again. When would it be appropriate? What can you do? Doubts about the idea kept coming, but the allure to dare eventually won.

The time was soon chosen. We planned on my significant other's absence for a mid-week seminar. It was supposed to go to Basel on a Wednesday morning in June 2017 and back again the next day. The treacherous thing about long preparation times is the sheer endless possibility of planning and generating crazy ideas. Which restaurant would we go to? There were various ideas for this, but it was difficult to find something that was also a nice location and didn't scare me in terms of size or the likelihood of it standing out too much. Again and again the torn between the enthusiasm for the idea and the hesitation to dare a really courageous step.

The question of what to wear to this event was almost even more difficult. Again, the question was, what would Nicole emphasize without emphasizing her too much? Dress, trousers, skirt? What shoes would I wear? Claudia and I had a clear difference in size, so high heels were out of the question. I pictured the event in colorful pictures and was totally courageous in my thoughts. Unfortunately, it is inevitable that you will generate ideas or demands that you cannot keep in the end. I tried to catch myself again and work specifically on the outfit. However, I didn't manage to concentrate only on the excursion in Basel, but included the journey into my planning. Not that I was brave enough to go to Basel as Nicole, but it should be something as androgynous as possible.
